Orascom Launches SIBA El Gouna — A New Architectural Chapter on the Red Sea
El Gouna, Red Sea — June 22, 2026 — Orascom Development Egypt has unveiled SIBA El Gouna, a landmark residential development that brings together multiple world-renowned architecture studios for the first time in the town’s history. Multi-Architect Approach — A First for El Gouna
SIBA El Gouna is the first development in the resort town to commission multiple architecture studios to design within a single masterplan. The participating architects include:
- Unknown Works (London) — Garden House and sculptural, landscape-led architecture
- Block722 (Greece/Mediterranean) — contemporary Mediterranean residences
- Mesura (Spain) — hospitality and residential design
- OOAA (International) — emotion-driven, timeless forms
The masterplan was created by Burton Studio, balancing context, innovation, and long-term sustainability.
First Villa Prototypes
SIBA El Gouna introduces two initial villa prototypes that exemplify its design philosophy:
Triangle Villa — by Unknown Works. A 3-bedroom single-story villa featuring a central triangular open space that connects indoor and outdoor living. The design reflects the principle that a home does not need to fill every corner — leaving room creates privacy, light, and a sense of belonging.
Tandem Villa — by Block722. A twin-villa concept with two distinct residences positioned side by side. Each home is independent in privacy yet connected through shared design elements, interconnected spaces, shaded terraces, and a central atrium.
Location & Setting
SIBA El Gouna is situated on elevated terrain offering panoramic views of the lagoon, the 18-hole championship golf course, and partial sea views. The staggered masterplan layout ensures generous spacing between homes, enhanced privacy, and visual openness throughout the community. Smart bridges connect different parts of the development without crowding.
